Fragrance blending basics
Custom fragrance blends are how small candle makers differentiate their products from competitors who use supplier scents directly. The most important rule: only blend fragrance oils that are all candle-safe, meaning they have been tested for wax binding and fire safety.
Classic starting ratios

Flash point and safety
When blending multiple fragrance oils, the flash point of your final blend is approximated by the lowest flash point among the component oils. Always check each oil's flash point and use the lowest figure as your safety reference for pour temperature.
