What is WickCalc?
WickCalc is a free collection of candle making calculators covering everything from wax weight and fragrance load to wick sizing, batch scaling, cost per candle, and pour temperatures. Every calculator runs directly in your browser — nothing is sent to a server, no account is required, and there are no ads that require you to disable your ad blocker.
Who built this?
WickCalc was built by a small team of hobbyist chandlers who got frustrated spending time doing the same math before every pour. We decided to build the tools we wished existed — simple, fast, and accurate — and make them free for the candle making community.
How is WickCalc free?
The site is supported by display advertising (Google AdSense). Ads are served by Google and shown on each page — we do not control which products are advertised. No data you enter into a calculator is shared with advertisers.
Are the calculators accurate?
Yes — the formulas are based on published wax density values, standard fragrance load guidelines, and wick sizing data provided by wick manufacturers. That said, candle making involves significant variability (fragrance oil density, room temperature, equipment). Always burn-test your specific combination before committing to a large batch.
